Rice is an incredibly versatile grain and is used as a major food staple for hundreds of cultures around the world. Asia in particular revolves around the concept of rice. (This isn't surprising seeing that as in China the world for food is the same word as it is for rice!) Rice has very little negative effect on the environment around us, and if anything, can help the earth by providing a cheap and eco-friendly food source that can help to fight world hunger.

Every time rice is bought you are helping out a rice farmer somewhere around the world!
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope that you have learnt a thing or two about the production and influences of rice!
